18 Installing the system

Assembling the

satellite modem

components

Follow the steps below and refer to the illustrations

on page 18 through page 20 to assemble the

satellite modem components. Remember that the

receive modem goes on top of the transmit modem.

After assembling the components, install the

software.

Note: Do not connect the USB cable to your

computer until instructed to do so during software

installation.

1. Be sure your power supply is not plugged into

your wall outlet, surge protector, or power

strip.

2. Snap the four clips under the feet of the receive

and transmit modems. Mount the clip so that

the mounting tab slides over the feet on the

bottom of the each modem as shown in

Figure 8.

Note: The transmit modem has a hole at the

center of the four feet. The mounting clip tabs

snap into place when they are properly aligned

over this hole.
